The official language of the symposium is English. As a general rule, Plenary lectures are 45 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion), invited talk are 30 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion), and contributed oral presentations are 15 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion). The poster presentation will be scheduled to last approximately 60 - 80 minutes. All oral presentations must be made on your own computer. If you are unable to use the computer you brought with you, please contact the ISS Secretariat in advance. One laptop PC will be provided at each presentation room, but we cannot guarantee that it will work during your presentation. If you wish to change or cancel your presentation after the presentation date and time have been fixed, please be sure to contact the secretariat. If you are a no-show without contacting us in advance, your presentation will be treated as REJECTED. Additionally, if there is a no-show presentation, the proceedings will be REJECTED.
Recording the presentation on video, photo and audio without the prior consent of the presenter are prohibited. Additionally, please set your mobile phone to 'silent mode' or turn it off while in the presentation venue.
Each presentation room is equipped with a projector. Presenters are asked to bring their own mobile PCs for presentations. Alternative Windows PCs are available at Venues A, B, C, and D, but as a general rule, please use your own PC. Please note that we cannot provide compensation even if the presentation time is shortened due to computer failure. If a problem occurs, the presentation time cannot be extended. We do not offer extensions. Please note that the presentation time may be shortened. The PC and software requirements to install are as follows.
Instructions for Poster Presentation
The available board size is W1800mm x H900mm (total W1800mm x H1800mm). A0 landscape size is strongly recommended for presentations. Please attach your poster to the board where your presentation ID is displayed. All materials must be written in English. All figures, photos, and tables require captions. Pushpins will be provided by the ISS-Secretariat. All posters must be attached to the designated panels by the start time of the session. All posters must be removed after the poster presentation period ends. If posters are not removed on the day, they will be discarded by the ISS office.
